Enhancing The Rural Economy- Date TBC

Often there is a divide between urban and rural communities and a disconnect between policymakers in Whitehall and the reality in the countryside. The objective of the meeting is to explore and address connectivity and economic challenges in rural areas that hindered growth and social advancement. This reception will focus on digital connectivity: solutions to connect underserved rural communities and digital poverty. As well as highlight the need for strategies to improve rural transport systems. Highlight the challenges with access to services, specifically around quality access to education, healthcare and social services. The reception will call on the government to enhance economic opportunities, specifically around investment opportunities in agriculture, small businesses and renewable energy projects.
